Dear Mommy...

Lucy has a great memory...too great sometimes. A few weeks ago she took some paper and pencil into the other room and a few minutes later came out with this:
























I'll translate for you: "Dear mommy, I hate your stinking guts. You make me vomit. Love me still." She wasn't trying to be mean at all. Some of you may recognize the "letter" from the movie Little Rascals. Well, Lucy loves that movie and did this from her memory, with no help what so ever from me or Brad. Paisley in a Pear Tree

My sister Alyce and I have found a way to use our Graphic Design skills and help provide for our families. In December we opened and Etsy shop called Paisley in a Pear Tree, I've included our bio below.






We are two sisters who love to design and we are excited to join forces to create unique home decor accessories out of vinyl. Choose one of our custom designs or allow us to work with you to create a design of your own. If you can think it, we can create it.

The best thing about vinyl is that you can freshen up your decor as little or as often as you like. These decals can be used as temporary holiday/seasonal decorations or as more permanent accessories to your home decor.

Lucy's "Chucky" Lite

Funny (possibly traumatizing—Lucy) story. We have the Good Nite Lite (www.goodnitelite.com) for Lucy, and have been using it for a little over two years now. Last week it started having some problems, so I've been working with the Tina at Good Nite Lite trying to solve the problem (they have been great). Yesterday, we changed the battery and thought it was working fine until we woke up to Lucy crying hysterically at 3:30 AM. When she calmed down she said "'Mr Sun' is broken again. He tuned black and then he blinked at me. He's Crazy!" (Oh, my little Lucy, you say some of the funniest things.) So I sent Tina another email explaining what had happened and included Lucy's reaction (an my laughs). Their response?

Hi Megan -

OK, I am sorry because I am laughing now too. :-) But we certainly can't have your daughter traumatized by her "Chucky" Lite.

I will have a new lite shipped to you tomorrow!
