Happy Valentine's Day

We had an busy day. The little devil in Lucy appeared again. Like the day before, she didn't take her nap and was whining and screaming at everything. I don't know what to do with her. It also snowed 6-8 inches and the roads were a mess. I had my hair done, and had to take Lucy to and from the babysitter, and it wasn't until I was on my way home (around 2:00) that I saw any sign of a plow. HELLO, it's been snowing all day! Not only that, but there is a salt shortage here in Wisconsin. Can you believe that? Utah, send us some. We met up with Brad after work at some friends house and helped move some furniture, and then we picked up Indian food for dinner. We came home and ate it while watching Smallville. Then it was time to shovel the driveway one more time. Needless to say, we were all exhausted.

Here is the snow outside our front door and a picture of the backyard taken from inside. There is so much beautiful snow to play in, but the snow is chest high around the yard—too tall to get through. Lucy is dying to go outside. She is tired of being couped up all day.

Shoplifting Permitted?

Apparently Lucy is starting a bad habit early. We were at the mall today and went into Gymboree. First thing, Lucy grabbed a pair of shoes on the way back to the children's TV and I didn't remember or see them until we were at the other end of the mall putting on her coat to leave. I took them back to the store, and claimed that my daughter was a shop lifter. The ladies in there all got a kick out of it. They weren't even her size, but maybe she just really wants a pair of white patent leather shoes.

Forget Smiling

Lucy is getting really good at sticking out her tongue. She opens her eyes up big and sticks it out as far as she can. It's hilarious! But you may have to be there.

Lucy's Resolution

With the new year, Lucy decided she needed to make some changes in her lifestyle. As most people would say, she has quite the booty and belly. So, this year Lucy decided to change that and has begun to work out. Here is her new workout video. If you have a problem booty/tummy, take it for a test "run."

The Wheels on the Bus...

Lucy has learned some new songs. One of them is the Wheels on the Bus. Here is a demonstration. Notice that the "wheels" go backwards. That is from when I would do it for her and I would do it "forward" for myself, but it was "backwards" for her. I'm a bad Mom, teaching her things wrong. Oh well, the damage is done.

No Flashing Required...

On Monday, Brad returned from a business trip to New Orleans, with him he brought beads...Lucy loves the beads and wants ALL of them

We had the Missionaries over for dinner and everyone wore beads.

Wall Art

It's official, I'm not only a graphic designer and a budding photographer, but now I specialize in "wall art". My tool of choice would be my head. How I came across this talent of mine you might ask? The answer: I discovered it yesterday while babysitting two young girls. Their father came to pick them up at the back door, and while I was walking to get the door I stepped on one of Lucy's toys (with wheels) and my feet came out from under me and I landed on my butt (cell phone in the pocket—OUCH!) and crashed my head into the wall and my shoulder into the cold air return. Oh yeah, did I mention that I was holding the youngest girl that I was watching and there is a window in my back door, so her dad saw it all. If anyone is interested in a one of a kind piece of art, I am available—but it will cost you.

P.S. If I'm not falling down the stairs I've got to figure out another way to bruise my body. I'm not sure if it is the house, Wisconsin, or the aftermath of having Lucy, but I am a huge klutz!
